- गृह मंत्रालय 13 और 14 जुलाई 2023 को गुरुग्राम, हरियाणा में “NFT (नॉन-फंजिबल टोकन), AI और मेटावर्स” के युग में अपराध और सुरक्षा पर G20 सम्मेलन आयोजित करेगा।
- यह आयोजन इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (MeitY), विदेश मंत्रालय (MEA) और गृह मंत्रालय की साझेदारी में आयोजित किया जाएगा।

- बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री दीपिका पादुकोण को मई 2023 में टाइम पत्रिका के कवर पर चित्रित किया गया है।

- केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री स्मृति जुबिन ईरानी ने 12 मई 2023 को मिशन सक्षम आंगनवाड़ी और पोषण 2.0 के तहत “पोषण भी, पढाई भी कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया।
- यह 6 वर्ष से कम आयु के सभी बच्चों के समग्र विकास को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए शुरू किया गया था।
- कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य संचार और प्रारंभिक भाषा, साक्षरता और संख्यात्मकता में बच्चों के कौशल का निर्माण करना है।

- एक प्रमुख खगोल वैज्ञानिक प्रोफेसर जयंत नार्लीकर को पुणे महाराष्ट्र में 12 मई 2023 को एस्ट्रोनॉमिकल सोसाइटी ऑफ इंडिया (ASI) गोविंद स्वरूप लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है।
- यह पुरस्कार खगोल भौतिकी के क्षेत्र में नार्लीकर के महत्वपूर्ण योगदान को मान्यता देता है।

नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर ने की SCO के कृषि मंत्रियों की आठवीं बैठक की अध्यक्षता
- शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (SCO) के सदस्य देशों के कृषि मंत्रियों की 8वीं बैठक 12 मई 2023 को हुई।
- यह केंद्रीय कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित किया गया था।
- बैठक के परिणामस्वरूप SCO सदस्य राज्यों के बीच कृषि सहयोग पर एक संयुक्त घोषणा को अपनाया गया।

- The Ministry of Home Affairs will organize the G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the Era of “NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), AI and the Metaverse” on 13th and 14th July 2023 in Gurugram, Haryana.
- The event will be organized in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Ministry of Home Affairs.

- Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been featured on the cover of Time magazine in May 2023.
- It previously included Padukone in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
- The American magazine described Padukone as a ‘global star’ who brought ‘Bollywood to the world’.
- Time Magazine is a well-known weekly news publication based in the United States.
Union Minister Smriti Irani launched “Poshan Bhi, Padhi Bhi” program
- Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani launched the “Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi” program on 12 May 2023 under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0.
- It was started to ensure the holistic development of all children below the age of 6 years.
- The program aims to build children’s skills in communication and early language, literacy and numeracy.
Pro. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar received the Govind Swaroop Award 2023
- Professor Jayant Narlikar, a prominent astrophysicist, has been awarded the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) Govind Swaroop Lifetime Achievement Award on 12 May 2023 in Pune Maharashtra.
- The award recognizes Narlikar’s significant contribution to the field of astrophysics.

MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar launched the 3rd SEMCON India Roadshow in Delhi
- The 3rd SEMCON India Future Design Roadshow was launched by the Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar on 12 May 2023 in Delhi.
- The event was organized at IIT Delhi with an aim to encourage innovation in semiconductor design and manufacturing.
- The objective of this event is to facilitate investment in the semiconductor industry.
Narendra Singh Tomar presided over the eighth meeting of SCO Agriculture Ministers
- The 8th meeting of the Agriculture Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries was held on 12 May 2023.
- It was organized under the chairmanship of Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
- As a result of the meeting a Joint Declaration on Agricultural Cooperation among SCO member states was adopted.
