UGC ने एकीकृत फैकल्टी भर्ती पोर्टल ‘सीयू-चयन’ लॉन्च किया

  • विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (UGC) ने केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालयों में संकाय नियुक्तियों के लिए ‘सीयू-चयन’ नामक एक नया पोर्टल लॉन्च किया है।
  • पोर्टल सभी भाग लेने वाले विश्वविद्यालयों में नौकरी के उद्घाटन की एक समेकित सूची सहित कई सुविधाएँ प्रदान करेगा।
  • किसी भी विश्वविद्यालय और व्यक्तिगत डैशबोर्ड में आवेदन करने के लिए आवेदकों के पास एक ही लॉगिन होगा।

रूस के पास अब अपना स्वयं का चैटGPT है, गिगाचैट पेश किया गया

  • रूस के सबसे बड़े बैंकिंग संस्थान सबैँक ने देश के पहले चैटजीपीटी प्रतियोगी गिगाचैट के रिलीज और परीक्षण चरण की घोषणा की है।
  • सबरबैंक का दावा है कि गिगाचैट की नवीनता अन्य विदेशी तंत्रिका नेटवर्क की तुलना में रूसी में अधिक समझदारी से संवाद करने की क्षमता है।

UGC launches Unified Faculty Recruitment Portal ‘CU-Select’

  • The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a new portal called ‘CU-Select’ for faculty appointments in Central Universities.
  • The portal will provide a host of features including a consolidated list of job openings across all participating universities.
  • Applicants will have a single login to apply to any university and individual dashboard.

Russia now has its own ChatGPT, GigaChat was introduced

  • Russia’s largest banking institution Sabanc has announced the release and testing phase of GigaChat, the country’s first ChatGPT competitor.
  • Sberbank claims that the novelty of GigaChat is its ability to communicate in Russian more intelligibly than other foreign neural networks.
  • It is capable of writing program code to answer questions, hold conversations and develop software.

Michael Douglas will receive an honorary Palme d’Or at Cannes

  • Veteran Hollywood star Michael Douglas will be honored with the Honorary Palme d’Or at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
  • Organizers of the ceremony said in a statement that Douglas will be recognized for his illustrious career as well as his contribution to cinema.
  • The festival will pay tribute to the actor during the opening ceremony on May 16, 2023.

Bilawal Bhutto became the first foreign minister to visit India

  • Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari arrived in Goa on 4 April 2023 to attend a conference organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
  • This is the first senior leader of Pakistan to visit India in almost 12 years.
  • The last time such a visit took place was in 2011 when former Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar visited India.

Marico re-appoints Saugata Gupta as MD & CEO for two years

  • Marico has re-appointed Saugata Gupta as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a period of two years from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2026.
  • He joined Marico in 2004 as Head of Marketing and was promoted to CEO of the India business in 2007.
  • In 2014, he took over as the Managing Director of the company.
  • Marico has also appointed Rajan Bharti Mittal as an additional director.
