- अखिल भारतीय फुटबॉल महासंघ ने दिवंगत भारतीय फुटबॉल प्रदीप कुमार बनर्जी की विरासत को सम्मानित करने के लिए 23 जून को ‘एआईएफएफ ग्रासरूट डे’ घोषित किया है।
- बनर्जी, जिनका 2020 में निधन हो गया, भारत के पूर्व कप्तान और कोच थे, जिन्होंने 1962 में एशियाई खेलों में स्वर्ण पदक के लिए राष्ट्रीय टीम का नेतृत्व किया था।
- 1970 में जब उन्होंने पूर्वी बंगाल की कमान संभाली थी, तब वे किसी विदेशी क्लब के कोच बनने वाले पहले भारतीय थे।

AIFF declares June 23 as ‘AIFF Grassroots Day’ in honor of PK Banerjee
- The All India Football Federation has declared June 23 as ‘AIFF Grassroots Day’ to honor the legacy of late Indian footballer Pradip Kumar Banerjee.
- Banerjee, who passed away in 2020, was a former India captain and coach who led the national team to the gold medal at the 1962 Asian Games.
- When he took charge of East Bengal in 1970, he was the first Indian to coach a foreign club.
ONGC discovered crude oil and natural gas in two blocks in Mumbai
- ONGC has made significant discoveries of crude oil and natural gas in two offshore blocks in Mumbai,
- Which signals a positive boost for India’s energy sector.
- The discoveries which have been named ‘Amrit’ and ‘Coral’.

Assam sets up 4-member panel to examine legality of banning polygamy
- The Assam government has asked the state assembly to enact a law to stop polygamy.
- A 4-member special committee has been constituted to examine the legal capacity.
- The chairman of this committee is Justice (retd) Rumi Phukan.
- The other members of the committee are Assam Chief Government Headquarters Advocate Debjit Saikia, Additional Advocate General Nalin Kohli and Senior Advocate Nekibur Zaman.
SpaceX plans to launch the first commercial space station in 2025
- SpaceX, the private aerospace company, has announced its ambitious plan to launch the world’s first commercial space station by 2025.
- This will prove to be an important milestone in the commercialization of space exploration.
- Shortly after the first station, a smaller module called Haven-I is launched, crew members will be flown there via SpaceX’s Dragon capsule.
